your biological sleeping clock

Among many people in our society it is considered as ‘fine’ to sleep as little as possible. This approach is reflected not least among young people. Sleeping is something you prefer not to do. If someone tells you that you have trouble sleeping is seen as a sign of weakness. In these groups there is a kind of status in that sleep as little as possible. This is an ideal that can lead to very unhealthy effects. As much as we want, we can not ignore that we have a fundamental need for sleep and that we function and feel better if we sleep regularly. We also risks becoming ill if we do not get enough sleep. An opposite view can also be problematic. Many think so much of their sleep problems that this concern is a big problem. It is common to have too high expectations on how long you have to sleep. We must understand that all people do not sleep eight hours every night. We must also understand that sleep changes with our age. It is normal to wake up a few times every night if you are older. You may also wake up earlier in the morning. If you know that it is natural, it is easier to live with these changes.
