Newborn Baby Sleeping Habits
A newborn baby is awake 5-7 hours per day. The baby sleeps almost 20 hours. The child’s sleep is divided into many periods in one day. Each sleep period is usually 3-4 hours long. Each sleeping period followed by one or two hours of wakefulness. The child has not yet developed any rhythm, but hunger and satiety controlling if the child is asleep or awake.
